Thanks to everybody who has already ordered The Reading With Pictures Anthology. If you haven’t placed your order yet, $15 will get you a discounted copy of this massive 192-page full-color all-ages anthology, 8 pages of which will feature an all-new G-Man story written and illustrated by me!
And for $100, you can actually be drawn into one of the RWP stories. You’ll also receive a signed hardcover, a bookmark, the expanded digital edition, the RWP T-shirt and the signed, limited edition print by Jill Thompson.
But what does being in a story mean, exactly? Here are the roles currently available in my G-Man story:

Students 1, 2, and 3 don’t seem to be doing so well here. That could be YOU getting blasted by a robot! But wait, there’s more!

How about that student 4? He/she almost escaped without getting blasted. That could be YOU not escaping the robo-wrath! Speaking of which…

Is that YOU daydreaming, student 5? Should have been paying attention, dude! This just in…

Who wouldn’t want to be a news anchor! They’re today’s biggest stars, telling us all what to be angry at and scared of! What would we do without news anchor 8? What will RWP do without YOU?
So there you have it. If you’re an adult that wants to be one of the students, that’s perfectly fine. Remember, I’m the guy that turns stuff into kid-versions of stuff. If you’re interested in being any of the characters above, please contact me here, and I’ll facilitate the process with the RWP folks.
I’ll be at WonderCon this Friday through Sunday in San Francisco, California, setting up in artist alley with X-Babies writer/everything-you-can-think-of artist Gregg Schigiel. I’ll have some G-Man books on hand as well as the MINI MARVELS ULTIMATE COLLECTION. Gregg will have the full X-BABIES mini-series and I think some Batman books he drew. And we’ll both be sketching all weekend. Come on by and check out the scene!
Reading With Pictures is a newly-formed nonprofit organization with the goal of revolutionizing the role of comics in education. I’m proud to be part of their first step in this effort — THE READING WITH PICTURES ANTHOLOGY VOL. 1.
I’ll be contributing a brand new 8-page G-Man story to this full-color 192-page book, which will also feature the work of Fred Van Lente (Amazing Spider-Man), Ryan Dunlavey (Action Philsophers), Jeffrey Brown (Sulk), Raina Telgemeier (The Baby-Sitter’s Club), Jim Gownley (Amelia Rules), John Gallagher and Rich Faber (Buzzboy), Eric Wight (Frankie Pickle), Gene Ambaum and Bill Barnes (Unshelved), Scott Sava (Dreamland Chronicles), the Fillbach Brothers (Star Wars: The Clone Wars), John Bivens (Comic Book Tattoo), Russell Lissau (Shrek), Erica Currey (Finding Nemo) and RWP Executive Director Josh Elder (Mail Order Ninja).

Check out the latest IMAGE UNITED “commentary track” style interview (of which I am a part) over at Comic Book Resources!
I’ll be a guest on the “Where Monsters Dwell” radio show tonight to discuss my “Image Untied” strip in IMAGE UNITED #0. You can tune in via the internet and listen to live streaming audio.
I have a four-page strip that will be printed in IMAGE UNITED #0, on sale Wednesday, February 24th!
Pick up IMAGE UNITED #0 to see how it turns out!
In another attempt to appeal to the highbrows amongst you, and to make people believe I’m a legitimate artist rather than a funny doodler, I have some pieces going up in an actual museum! Well, an art gallery at least. I’ll have some original G-MAN and MINI MARVELS artwork on display at the Medialia Gallery in New York City.
The exhibit will be showing work by me, Jacob Chabot, Geof Darrow, Grey Williamson and Carbon Fibre, Sydney Jordan, and Jesse Lonergan. There’s an opening reception this Saturday, Febrary 6th from 3pm-6pm, and I will totally be there wearing a tie and looking distinguished. Psst! There’s usually free food at these things!
