I’ll be at the Emerald City Comicon in Seattle in just a few short weeks, March 28-30! Emerald City will premier the TALES FROM THE CON: YEAR 1 collection (which I drew) with the convention-exclusive variant cover below. If you buy it at the convention, you can bring it over to me at table HH-09 and I will sign it. TFTC writer Brad Guigar will be available in booth 1320! So… looks like we won’t be seated right next to each other as depicted on this cover after all.
At first glance, I thought this was a picture of me at age 7, but it’s Saul with an awesome picture he drew of Kid Thunder! Saul, you look just like me when I was a kid, and you draw even better! Thanks for the pic!
Finally, TALES FROM THE CON is going into print, on sale in comic shops this May! Order now! Tell your comic shop you want TALES FROM THE CON #1, from Image Comics!MAY 7 / 32 PAGES / FC / E / $3.50

If you’ve been to a comic convention, you’ll recognize the scenes in TALES FROM THE CON, the irreverent webcomic that has appeared on the Emerald City Comicon website since 2012.
Written by Eisner-nominee BRAD GUIGAR (HOW TO MAKE WEBCOMICS, Evil Inc.) and illustrated by CHRIS GIARRUSSO (G-MAN, Mini Marvels), TALES FROM THE CON is an uproarious take on the world of comic books and conventions. Fanboys, fangirls, cosplayers, retailers, volunteers, and pros repeatedly collide on the convention floor (and beyond) to prove that comic conventions are one part festival, two parts group therapy.
Be sure to check out the March Madness installment of this week’s new TALES FROM THE CON strip over at the Emerald City Comicon website!
