HEROES CON REPORT PART 3

I’ve got some more cool fan art from Heroes Con to share.  It’s an assortment of work from a few siblings, as a matter of fact.  First up is a great gag cartoon from Kelsie Ladd featuring Hawkeye and Wolverine…

Kelsie_LaddGreat work Kelsie!

Next is a mini-comic style sketchbook from Kelsie’s sister Kalyssa!

Kalyssa_Lad_sketchbookLooks like I’ll need to come back to Heroes next year for some more Kalyssa work!

And last but not least, a great strip from Logan…

Logan_LaddA brilliant job of using outrage to highlight hypocrisy and fuel comics!  Well done, Logan!

Altogether some very fine work from some very fine young Ladds!

HEROES CON REPORT PART 2

Heroes Con was great for so many reasons, but I think the best part of Heroes Con for me was getting some awesome fan art!  Check out this great piece from my pal Quinton Buxton, depicting a classic scene from G-MAN: LEARNING TO FLY!

Thanks again, Quinton!  You rock!

Tune in next time for more fan art in part three of the ongoing Hereos Con Report!

HEROES CON REPORT PART 1

Heroes Con was a great time! The organizers and the fans were all super cool and awesome people. I’ll have more to say about Heroes in the coming days and I have some great art and pictures I want to scan and share. And I’d also like to share my take on the new X-Babies project that was announced during the Heroes Convention.  Stay tuned for further details…

HEROES CON IS UPON US…

I can’t believe Heroes Con is this weekend already!  It just kind of snuck up on me.  But I’ll be there with G-MAN and MINI MARVELS digests and sketching like a mad man at TABLE 518!  With me will be fellow cartoonist Gregg Schigiel, also sketching like a mad man.  And I’m looking forward to seeing my friends from Acme Comics again!

It looks like I’ll also have a box of brand new recession-busting $5 T-Shirts on hand, featuring the new G-Man design below.  Unfortunately, I’m not equipped to sell these on-line, so conventions are the best place to get them.

G-MAN: CAPE CRISIS order time!

GMan_CC_miniseries_1G-MAN: CAPE CRISIS #1 goes on sale August 12th, 2009, and comic stores are placing orders now!  This is the first issue to my first-ever mini-series, and I’m very excited about it.  And I’d like for all interested fans to be able to get their hands on it!

So if you are one of those interested fans, please let your comic store know you want it!  Your comic store will not know you want to buy it unless you tell them!  And to make it easy for your comic store to know what you want and remember to place your order, I’ve created an updated order form that you can download, print, and fill out and hand to the folks at your comic store!

G-MAN: CAPE CRISIS #1 is a standard size comic book and costs $2.99 (you may have seen it listed for $3.50 in the Diamond Previews Catalog, but I was able to lower the price!).  Published by Image Comics!

NEW INTERVIEW… G-MAN: CAPE CRISIS!

There’s a new interview up at the Westfield Comics Blog where I discuss G-MAN: CAPE CRISIS.  It features some preview pages from issue 1, which will be on sale August 12th!

MoCCA THIS WEEKEND!

This is some last minute breaking news, but I’ll be at the MoCCA art festival this weekend in Manhattan on Sunday, doing fundraiser sketches from 1-4.

In other news, please (still) buy G-MAN: LEARNING TO FLY!

In yet other news, G-MAN: CAPE CRISIS is coming in August!  Issue 1 (of an ALL-NEW five-issue mini series!) has just been solicited. I’ll post some cover art here soon. I also want to mention quickly that the solicitation price of $3.50 is incorrect, and the issue is actually $2.99.
