Weekly Sketch Wednesday – Superman & Wonder Woman

Did you hear Superman and Wonder Woman are totally dating now? Sure, they’ve dated before in certain stories here and there, but those stories didn’t count. This time it’s REALLY happening for real!

Tribute Tuesday: Mike Sekowsky’s The Brave and the Bold #28

THE BRAVE AND THE BOLD #28 featured the first appearance of the Justice League of America! Of course, The Flash, Wonder Woman, Green Lantern, Martian Manhunter, and Aquaman had all appeared before, but this was the first time they came together as a team, uniting to battle Starro the Conqueror!

My tribute to Mike Sekowski’s awesome assemblage is highlighted this week because of this upcoming weekend’s Project Comic Con, where there will be a limited supply of prints available featuring this tribute art. Bring one of these prints by my table and I’ll sign my autograph for you right across Starro’s evil face!

Tribute Tuesday: Sensation Comics #1, Wonder Woman!

Legend has it that Wonder Woman’s golden lasso was inspired by the polygraph. The guy who invented it, William Marston, came up with the idea for the hero who became Wonder Woman. Mrs. Marston insisted that the character be female, and thus Wonder Woman arrived on the comics scene. And with that bit of trivia, here’s my tribute to Harry G. Peter’s sensational cover to Sensation Comics #1.
